Ten common questions

Frequently asked.

Practical answers about virtual consultations, technology, fees, time zones and what happens if you need hands-on care.

01

Can my condition really be assessed over video?

Yes. The majority of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder conditions can be assessed effectively by video. Ms Razo uses structured clinical assessment protocols adapted for virtual consultations, including taking a detailed clinical history, observation of range of movement and functional testing. For most conditions, a clear diagnosis and management plan can be established without hands-on examination.

02

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly without a referral from a GP or Consultant. If you have been referred, you are welcome to share any referral letters or reports during your consultation.

03

What technology do I need?

A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet or laptop) and a stable internet connection. The video consultation runs in your browser. There is no software to download or app to install.

04

Which countries can you treat patients in?

Virtual consultations are available to patients worldwide. Ms Razo is registered to practise in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Appointments are scheduled in UK time but can usually be accommodated across different time zones.

05

What happens if I need hands-on treatment?

If your assessment indicates that hands-on treatment is necessary, Ms Razo will advise you on the best course of action. This may include guidance on finding an appropriate clinician in your area, or arranging an in-person appointment if you are able to travel.

06

How long are appointments?

Initial consultations are 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 30-45 minutes. These are dedicated one-to-one sessions, not rushed assessments.

07

How many sessions will I need?

This depends entirely on your condition. Some patients need a single consultation for assessment and a clear plan to follow independently. Others benefit from regular follow-ups, typically starting weekly and spacing out as they improve. You are never committed to a set number of sessions.

08

Can you provide a report for my insurance or employer?

Clients should check directly with their provider to confirm whether Occupational Therapy or treatment with Ms Razo is covered under their policy. The clinic can provide invoices and reports to support insurance claims where required.

09

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged in full.

10

What time zones do you work across?

Appointments are scheduled in UK time but can usually be accommodated to suit different time zones. Ms Razo has treated patients worldwide across a range of time differences. If no suitable time appears on the online booking page, get in touch and an appointment can usually be arranged outside the standard slots.
